rather than using burlap (a material that becomes brittle over time and degrades quickly when exposed to moisture) these rugs are hooked onto a densely woven cotton backing to ensure they last for generations.
NO GLUES, NO SYNTHETIC FIBERS.
made from hand-dyed 100% canadian wool and held together securely through tension - just like the traditionally hooked rugs from the 19th and 20th centuries. Avoiding the use of adhesives or glues makes them much easier to clean, maintain, and restore down the road.
